Following some controversial decisions and outcomes that greeted the recent general election in the country, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa state, Hon. David Ombugadu,  has said that the final respite now rests with the Judiciary. 
Ombugadu stated this on Thursday while addressing newsmen in Akwanga,  Akwanga local government area of Nasarawa state,  expressed confidence in the nation’s judicial system. 
He said the recent election poses the most enormous challenge the Judiciary has to grapple with given widespread complaints about manipulation and outright falsification of results, among others.
“The onus is now on the Nigerian Judiciary to redeem the mandate of the Nigerian people by living up to their responsibilities which has never been more enormous than after the recent general electionelection” he said.
Ombugadu who decried the high level of electoral manipulation that took place in Nasarawa stated that the state was fast becoming the headquarters of rigging in the country. 

“I have total confidence in the judiciary, I believe that the judiciary will do justice to what has happen in Nasarawa state, the peoples mandate that was stolen will be recovered” he said
He vowed to follow due process to recover his mandate and call on his supporters and members of the PDP in Nasarawa state to remain calm.
