Nasarawa state Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has sought closer ties with Kuwait which he described as one of the most peaceful and developing countries among the Arab  states.

Sule made this known while delivering his speech to mark Kuwait’s 59 years of nationhood and 29 years of Liberation at Dunes center,  Maitama, Abuja on Thursday.

While congratulating the state of Kuwait for achieving so much in 59 years of its existence, Governor Sule said Nasarawa state is looking forward to more bilateral business relations with Kuwait through it’s development Fund for Africa.

The governor used the occasion to invite both foreign and local investors to come to Nasarawa state to invest in agriculture, health, education and mining.

Addressing the gathering, Kuwait Ambassador to Nigeria, Abdullaziz Al-Bisher said the national day was to reflect on the journey so far as a nation with a strong economy which has the population of about four million people.

Al-Bisher commended Gov Sule for honouring the invitation and plegded to reciprocate the gesture by building strong economic ties with Nasarawa state.

The occasion gave Engineer Sule the opportunity to interact with diplomats on how to move Nasarawa to the next level of development.
