Two persons electrocuted, four dead in Keffi ghastly motor accident

Two people including a mobile phone repairer were electrocuted by a high tension cable at the GSM Village in Keffi, Nasarawa State.

The incident happened when the mobile phone repairer whose name was given as Junaudu Iliyasu Shaibu went to pick his tool bag unknown to him the electricity cable had fallen in the place, while the second person met his death when he made efforts to rescue the first victim.

Our correspondent gathered that the first person has died on the spot while the second person was rushed to the nearby Federal Medical Center in Keffi where he was confirmed dead too.

Officials of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Cooperation (AEDC,) who arrived the scene of the incident did not speak to our correspondent about what really caused the fall of the high tension electricity cable.

The chairman of the mobile phone repairers of Keffi branch,  Mr Adamu Saidu, who expressed his sadness over the incident stated that they are working with the relevant agencies to furstall the reccurrence of the unfortunate incident as well as working to see the possibilities of securing succour for the families of their departed colleagues.

As at the time of filing in this report men of the Nigeria Police, Keffi Division, had also visited the scene of the incident while the area have been deserted by the repairers in solidarity with those that lost their lives.
The deceased were buried in keffi according to Islamic rites.

In another unfortunate development,  a young legal practitioner Barrister Ezike Chiadikobi Izuchukwu has also lost his live in a fatal motor accident that also caused the death of another three Fulani people along Nasarawa-Keffi road during the weekend.
