The chairman, anniversary committee of the 100 years of the First Baptist Church Keffi in Nasarawa State, Dr. Samson A. Adegoke has expressed delight with the participation of the National President of  the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Rev. Dr. Samson  Olasupo  Ayokunle, Emir of Keffi,  HRH. Dr. Shehu Muhammed Yamusa lll, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, former Governor of Oyo State, Christopher Alao Akala, Yakanaje of Uke HRH. Amadu Abdullahi Hassan and some graded Chiefs from the south west of Nigeria.

Delivering his speech during the occasion held in the church auditorium  in Keffi,Adegoke stated that their various outstanding remarks was geared towards peace making and building bridges of unity and cooperation amongst Nigerians irrespective of their diversities.

Speaking about the 100 years anniversary celebration of the church, he described it as quite remarkable given the fact that reasonable achievements were recorded in various areas with special emphasis to spiritual development, peace building and social integration amongst the various worshippers and the people in the society.

Dr. Adegoke expressed hope that the church would continue to grow from strength to strength.

In his remarks,  the senior pastor of the church, Rev. Dr. Samuel Babataiwo expressed gratitude to God that they were able to overcome many challenges that came their way and moved forward to impact on their followers positively both in their spiritual and socio- economic lives.

He then announced that the church,  as part of its efforts to widen its horizon would build a modern hospital to contribute to the health care needs of the society.

While commending all those who contributed in one way or the other to the success of the anniversary celebration, he pledged to continue to lead the followers to pray for the peace, unity and prosperity of Nigeria especially at this trying moment of socio-economic and security challenges as well as covid-19 pandemic.
