Reliable information just reaching The EYEWITNESS, has it that the governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku, may dissolve his cabinet at any moment.
A source close to the state seat of power told our correspondent that the dissolution is no doubt in preparation for the 2023 election.
Darius will complete his tenure in 2023 and discussions on his possible successor and his plans to go to the senate have dominated public discourse in the state lately.
The EYEWITNESS learned that the governor in the last few months has been making consultation to overcome the challenges of bringing new breeds to complete the next two years of his second tenure.
Our source said since the political faceoff between the governor and Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha, representing Taraba south started, the governor has been nursing doubts concerning the loyalty of some of his appointees whom he sees as Bwacha’s cronies.
He said that the governor was reliably informed that some of his political appointees are not loyal to him and they have adopted the biblical Nicodemus style to meeting with his political opponents.
“The governor is trying to bring in people who will work for his anointed successor and for him to go to the Senate and not those who will work for those who brought them to the government,” he said.
The source however prayed that the next crop of Commissioners, Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants, among others, that would be brought on board would not be treated like the current ones whom he said Darius have no regards for.
