Attack On Dep: Gov Sule Summons Emergency Security Meeting.

Nasarawa State Governor, Eng. Abdullahi Sule, has summoned an emergency meeting of all heads of security agencies in the state at the state government house on Wednesday by 9am.

A statement on Monday morning by the Director General Strategic Communication and Press Affairs to Governor Abdullahi A Sule, Yakubu Lamai said the meeting is to “reappraise the extensive security template of Nasarawa State given the unfortunate robbery operation which took place around Akwanga axis yesterday.”

“This is in line with His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule’s avowed commitment to mobilize, improve and reingovirate the robust security architecture already in place in Nasarawa State.”

The statement further assured the public of government commitment and determination to rise to and squarely face and quash any and all security challenges which may arise to cause anxiety or threaten the wellbeing of the entire people of the State.

It would be recalled the convoy of the deputy Governor of the State, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, was attacked in an encounter with armed robbers, who were robbing commuters along Lafia-Akwanga Road, on Tuesday night.

The attacked led to the death of 3 policemen and a civilian driver.
