The paramount traditional ruler of Toni Chiefdom in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, HRH Lawrence Sylvester Ayih ll
has said that the establishment of an agro investment by Nigeria Famers Group and Cooperative Society at Ga’ate in Kokona Local
Government Area of Nasarawa State will reduce youths idleness to the minimal and will increase the economy of both Nasarawa State
and federal governments respectively.

HRH Ayih ll who made the assertion in an exclusive interview with our correspondent when vice President Yemi Osinbajo visited the
multi million naira farm recently, said they initiators of the farm adopted the country’s agitation for state of emergency in agricultural
sector.
He called on willing investors to come and invest in Nasarawa State and Kokona Local Government Area due to the vast land that can
accommodate establishment of choice investments as well as the presence peace in the area
In his words:” In fact this is why the country has been agitating for declaration of state of emergency in the agricultural sector. This farm
has been here for the past two years and am part of them. They started the project when my late father was on the throne, he made me
to be with them to actually know what they were doing here which I always reported back to him.
After his demise I came on board as his successor and I continued collaborating with them because I find their gesture to be very
worthy. This kind of project will bring youths out of idleness and so many crimes will be reduced to the minimal and the economy of this
country and Nasarawa State will increase tremendously”.
He urged wealthy people of Nasarawa State to emulate the virtues of the initiators of the investment under the leadership of the
National coordinator/Managing Director of the farm Mr. Tedheke Retson in order to promote food production in the country and to
arrest hunger in totality.
“I feel very happy and excited at this time for the vice president of Nigeria professor Yemi Osibanjo and our dear governor Engineer
Abdullahi Sule to be here in my Chiefdom for today’s farm investment occasion and by so doing youths will be employed and crimes will
be reduced in our society”the Paramount ruler who is the chairman kokona Local Government Council of Chiefs stated.
