Gov Fintiri tasks Adamawa Varsity on alternative power source, as it graduates 11,625

The Adamawa state Governor, RT Hon. Ahmadu Umaru.Fintiri, has called on to the state-owned University managementn to develop alternative means of power supply to the university.
The Governor who threw the challenge at the combined 5th – 12th convocation ceremony of the University held  in Mubi, said that he was aware that the University was grappling with problems such as lack of safe water, electricity, and waste disposal.
“Instead of spending millions on diesel to power generators for instance, why can’t the university devote itself to research in alternative and cheap energy in the long run, for the campus.”
With all the Physics and other related researches, why must the university be part of the diesel guzzling community? ”
“We need to domesticate excellence on the campus in order to export it into the society” ha added.
Speaking af the event, the vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, disclosed that: “The graduates comprise of 10,771 first degree holders, and 1,079 post-graduate degree holders, who have been found worthy in character and learning”.
