Nasarawa Central Assembly bye-election: Voting commences in keeping with Covid-19 protocol

The Nasarawa Central Constituency bye-election slated for today, August 8th, 2020 is in process. The election followed the death of Hon. Suleiman Adamu Ibrahim of the ruling All Progressives Congress who represented Nasarawa Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly on 30th April, 2020.

The keenly contested bye-election is between Hon. Ismail Danbaba of the All Progressives Congress and Hon. Bawa Bage of the People’s Democratic Party.

Electoral Materials have already arrived Poling Units across the seven Electoral Wards of Nasarawa Central Constituency. Police officers are visibly seeing at the Units.

Electorates are expected to turnout in their numbers to participate in the process. The social distancing regulation as stipulated by the Independent National Electoral Commission may be strange to most electorates because it is to observed for the first time in Nigeria.
Voting may start any time from now.
