Hon. Ismail Danbaba of the All Progressives Congress has emerged victorious in the keenly contested Nasarawa Central Constituency bye-election that held today, Saturday, 8th August, 2020.
The election which followed death of the then Member, Hon. Suleiman Adamu Ibrahim of the All Progressives Congress has finally come to its logical conclusion with Hon. Ismail Danbaba winning with landslide victory against Hon. Nuhu Bage Bawa of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
The now Member-elect scored 7475(Seven thousand, four hundred and seventy five) votes as against 4608 (Four thousand, six hundred and eight) votes by Hon. Nuhu Bage Bawa.
The election was transparent, free and fair. It was remarkably non violent and has proved to be a litmus test for upcoming general/bye-elections in Nigeria.
