Nasarawa govt declares state of emergency on water supply

Nasarawa state government has declared a state of emergency on portable water supply in the entire state. 
Governor Abdullahi Sule who made the declaration on Wednesday in Lafia said  the entire communities in the state are currently facing water crisis that is creating unacceptable conditions for the people, adding that his government is committed to addressing it urgently.
Sule said this while inaugurating a task force on water supply in the state. 
He said that in the last two months, there was acute water shortage in the state and charged the committee to immediately hit the ground running by addressing it urgently as funds will be promptly appropriated.
Governor Sule said that adequate water supply is one of the cardinal projects he hopes to achieve within 100 days in office.
The chairman of the task force, Barr.Abdulkarim Kana who is the immediate past commissioner of Justice, said he will do his best to restore water supply in the state withing the specified time.
