Nasarawa Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board commences registration intending pilgrims for 2020

The Nasarawa Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced registration intending pilgrims for 2020.

Executive Secretary of the Board Mallam Idris Ahmad Almakura announced this during a meeting with management Staff and pilgrims Coordinators in Lafia.

Idris Almakura explained that the commencement of the registration for 2020 hajj followed the approval of the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State Engineer Abdullahi Sule.

He noted that intending pilgrims for 2020 hajj are to start depositing the sum of five hundred thousand to one point five million naira while the board await the announcement of the final hajj fare for 2020 in due course.

According to Almakura the meeting which was the first of its kind after the 2019 hajj operation was aimed at brainstorming on the successes and challenges faced during the 2019 hajj with a view to addressing them to better the 2020 hajj exercise.

The Executive Secretary warned pilgrims coordinators against act capable of tarnishing their image and that of the board as the registration began.
