Senate: I started my campaign since 2011 – Al-Makura

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state stated that he started his campaign for Nasarawa South Senatorial sezt since he assumed office in 2011.

Almakura stated this yesterday in Lafia while inspecting some ongoing projects his administration is working round the clock to ensure their completion before he exits office come May 29th.

He said since assumption of office he had worked tirelessly to prove his credentials as a leaders, saying the electorates are not oblivious of what his administration has been able to accomplish in the past seven years.

The governor said he will not embark on a rigorous campaigns as his achievements are alrealredy campaining for him, but would rather dedicated his energy towards ensuring President Muhammadu Buhari and the governorship candidate of the APC, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, and all other APC contestants win their elections.

 Speaking on the ongoing projects at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia,  the Chief Medical Director, Dr Ikrama Hassan, said the casualty unit of the hospital has been expanded to 20–bed capacity from the former 10.

Ikrama, said the hospital has engaged the services of 30 consultants who are working with over 100 medical doctors employed under the services of the state government to further boost health care delivery in the state.

 According to him, work is ongoing for the construction of a 200-bed capacity wards which are designed in the best standards befitting a tertiary health facility, assuring that at completion both male, female and children wards will be furnished with modern equipment.

 He added that plans are on ground by the state government for the accreditation of additional departments which are yet to be operation, even as the pharmaceutical department and the medical laboratory of the hospital have been upgraded.
