Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women support group mobilized from Taraba state to Abuja to show solidarity over the purchase of Senate nomination and expression of interest forms for governor Darius Ishaku are currently stranded at their respective hotel accommodations in the suburbs of the capital city.

The women numbering about 60 were said to be neglected in different hotels in Nyanya a satellite town in FCT and Mararaba in Nasarawa state as money earmarked for the trip was embezzled by members of the planning committee.

One of the stranded Women known as Madam Lydia told out reporter that the coordinators of the women group, especially those from the central zone embezzled the funds meant to take care of their trip to and fro absconded after dropping them in some hotels and gave them N10,000 each for their feeding.

She said they have been stranded since Monday and all efforts to reach out to those that matter as been in vain.

According to her majority of the women are from the Central senatorial zone of the State.

All efforts to speak with the party top officials and the media aide of Governor Darius, Habu Dan Abu to confirm about the development proved abortive.

It would be recalled that the state party chairman Kefas Agbu and a gubernatorial hopeful Victor Bala last Monday, picked the PDP nomination and expression of interest forms for governor Darius to vie for the Southern senatorial seat.
