The Federal Government has  disbursed N10,000 loan to 500 women and youths for business startup under the National Directorate of Employment Micro enterprises Enhancement scheme.

He said, in the next two weeks, the federal government would begin another round of special training, where 50 people from each of the 13 local government areas in the state would acquire special skills, trade free and will be giving startups at the end of the program.

President Buhari stated this yesterday during the disbursement exercise of the loan to the beneficiaries in Lafia.
According to the president, his desire is to lift millions of Nigerians out of poverty through the scheme.
The president who was represented  by the minister of Labour and Employment, Festus Kayamo said that his administration is determined to address poverty ones and for all before the expiration of his tenure.

He said, the dream of the president was not to create plenty billionaires while the poor continue to suffer.

He added that, “the president prefer to reverse it and to empower the poor rather, to come out of their poverty.
According to the president, he would not wait for the National electricity to become steady before Small and Medium scale Enterprises to run their businesses in the country.  

“They will not wait until all the railways come on stream for them to move their goods and services.

“They will not Waite until all the roads network in the country that have been damaged by some certain government before us to be good for them to move their goods and services.

“This goodies are coming but before they come, let the poor see something upon which to survive.

“This is the essence of such program we are bringing to Nasarawa State,” he said.

Governor Abdullahi Sule thanked the president for the interventions schemes aimed at alleviating poverty in the country.

The governor hoped that with the gesture, many will come out of poverty, because that is the kind of capital they need.
