Nasarawa: Gov Sule, Dr. Kigbu partner to give over 8,000 free medical treatment

In furtherance of their commitment to the healthy wellbeing of the citizens of Nasarawa state,  Governor Abdullahi Sule and Dr. Joseph Kigbu are set to commence a grand free medical outreach for Nasarawa South zone on Monday, 27th September,  2021.
The medical outreach which is expected to last for a week is targeted at treating over 8,000 patients of various ailments and the exercise will include free OPD drugs, general and gynea-related operations, cataract operations,  ultrasound scans,lab test and administration of free reading glasses.
The schedule of activities released by the Nasarawa State government and the consultants for the exercise,  Doctors on the Move Africa,  reveals that the state owned referral hospital, the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital,  Lafia and the Comprehensive Health Centre, Kwandere will serve as the two venues for the exercise  which is expected to start by 9zm to 5pm daily for the period it will last.
Guideline released by the organisers also revealed that Covid-19 protocols will strictly be enforced,  as such all patients are expected to wear face masks which will also be provided at the venues for the exercise.  Use of hand sanitizer and social distancing will also be enforced.
