Gov Bala felicitates with christians, urges peace, unity

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has congratulated christians in the state on the event of the 2025 Easter celebration.
Tm Governor Mohammed while felicitating with christians in a goodwill message made available to newsmen by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado on Friday, calls for peace, unity and reflection among the citizens.
Governor Mohammed described Easter as a period of deep spiritual reflection and a solemn reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, redemption, and hope exemplified by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
He also emphasized the importance of embracing values such as peace, love, humility, honesty, and selflessness, a virtues he said transcend religious lines and are essential for societal harmony and growth.
“This season calls for sober reflection,” the Governor noted. “Let us examine how we have lived, how we treat one another, and how we can be better citizens and a more united people. May we find the strength to forgive, the courage to reconcile, and the resolve to walk in love and peace”, Mohammed said.
He urged the citizens to protect the unity of the state, rise above political, ethnic, and religious differences, and embrace their shared identity and common destiny.
Bala Mohammed assured residents of his administration’s continuous commitment to maintaining peace and order across the state.
He noted that the government is working closely with security agencies and community stakeholders to ensure a peaceful celebration.
Governor Mohammed also acknowledged the economic hardship currently facing many Nigerians, assuring State Government’s commitment to cushioning the impact through the continued distribution of palliatives, particularly food items, to the most vulnerable groups.
Governor Mohammed expressed confidence that Nigeria will overcome the difficult period, stronger and more united.
He encouraged residents to celebrate responsibly, show kindness to one another, and offer prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
