The management of  Nasarawa  State Health Insurance Scheme says that arrangement is on top gear for the take off of the scheme for the health benefits of workers and other citizens of the state.
Dr Gwamna Gaza, the Executive Secretary of the scheme in the state made this known on Tuesday when they  paid a familiarization visit on the Health Committee of the state legislature in Lafia.
He said that the importance of the scheme to health needs of Nigerians cannot be overemphasized, hence the need for all to embrace the scheme in the state.
“The ultimate goal of this scheme is to attain and achieve universal health coverage to enable civil servants and other citizens have quality access to healthcare services.
” If Nigerians have affordable healthcare service delivery , it will go a long way in improving on their health and standard of living 
“To be a beneficiary of the scheme, one need to key into the programme through registration in which certain percentage of money will be deducted from his/her salary, that is for the worker. 
” And for the individual, they also need to register to benefit in the interest of their health,”he said.
The executive secretary assured of the scheme readiness to adhere strictly to the law establishing the scheme for the overall development of the state and the  country at large.
Earlier, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, the Chairman of the committee said that the committee has  decided to invited the management of the  scheme in order to have an interface with them toward improving on the health status of the people of the state.
He expressed the determination of the committee to work in synergy with all relevant stakeholders in the health sector for effective and quality healthcare service delivery in the state.
